Mag Making, Meadow Stomping and More

So, I am thinking of putting together a little magazine! It will be called "The Bird" and will have hard-hitting news, commentary, and stuff. It will also feature comics and have a feature where I interview random people on the street. I've made the logo and have my friends Joe and David signed up, so if you'd like to contribute, drop me a line!

Comments or e-mails would be pretty okay.

Also: I've decided that its tagline will be "Seattle's alternative alternative."

This War, This Crusade: On Iraq and the Common Good

The question surrrounding all the politics, I find, is: was the war justified?

You make the call, but if you look at our President and his cronies' long, agonizing list of poorly constructed rationales, it's hard to say there's justification. Let's look from the start:

1.The Iraqi government might be linked to Al-Qaeda: It's ridiculously implausible, and even if there were a link, shouldn't you go after the people who attacked you in the first place?

2.They have weapons of mass destruction pointed at Disney World:Nothing but falsified "evidence" to back it up, and even though they might still be there as some conservatives state, THEY STOPPED LOOKING--- with barely a mention from the elite liberal media. What kind of message does (or should) that send to the voters?

3.We're freeing the people from Saddam's tyranny: Definitely the most ridiculous of them all, especially since they state it was the only reason they went in all along. Also, there are more than several other corrupt, horrible dictatorships in the world. why isn't our fine American president helping them? My guess: 'Cause they don't have oil or enough Muslims to shoot.

Think about it: $2 billion a week, 15 dead and 115 injured Americans every week, not to speak of the countless opressed Iraqi civilians dead.

This is your war, Americans. Fight it, or fight to end it.
